ABOUT SEHO:
Save Environment & Health Organisation (SEHO) is a non profit, non Governmental organisation that promotes environmental best practices and healthy living of people in all the States of the Federation with a strong presence in Lagos, Abuja and Nasarawa as the   pilot States of their programmes.

HOW SEHO WORKS:
Through collaborative efforts with individuals, associations, market men and women, local councils, State and Federal Miniseries and Parastatals, companies, traditional institutions, United Nations, Embassies, and the general public for the purpose of implementing humanitarian projects aimed at ensuring the well being of the people of Nigeria by adding value to the less privileged communities/individuals with specific interest in the area of health and environment.

OUR MISSION HERE:
To educate and enlighten the market men and women of the present state of the Ikeja POWA market on the area of preservation and clean environment as well as basic healthy living approaches embarked upon by the market and the new ways of observing clean environment and personal hygiene expected of every market man and woman and our children.

THE NATURE OF BUSINESS WITHIN THE MARKET:
The market has been assessed to have located in a popular and lucrative business location. It is noted that the major trading products and services within the market are food selling point, alcoholic and non alcoholic drink, tailoring, drug stores, provision selling points and barbing services.

THE STATE OF THE MARKET:
The survey conducted by SEHO team reveals that the environmental cleanliness and the basic approaches to personal hygiene within the market are grossly in a poor state. Such basic facilities like urinating points, drainages, toilets, water and poor road net work within the market has been noted to be some major challenges. In addition, the use of fire wood, and uncontrolled placement of generator set within the market has constituted a challenge to the market state of cleanliness. However, no mechanism yet in place to ensure personal hygiene and clean environment and noise pollution by the authority.
